Anxiety of Parsi Minority: A Study of Rohinton Mistry’s Short Stories aims at analyzing the Parsi marginalised voices in the eleven short stories of Rohinton Mistry in his first and celebrated anthology, Tales from Firozsha Baag (1987).These tales valorise the Parsi individuals who fall under the minority categories of the Indian society. They are always pushed aside and treated with less importance in the space of a Nation despite their commendable contributions in diverse fields. Mistry’s short fiction can really be termed as a cauldron of different peoples from his community with completely diverse nature. He provides a space for all these marginalised individuals mainly Parsis and lends a distinct voice to tell the untold stories of this severely dwindling minority community. It is an attempt to trace the Parsi minority voices which unfold the struggles faced by them, their concerns, their aims and aspirations amid the traditional Parsi rituals and ethics at the advent of modernity. Rohinton Mistry is the most prolific and quintessential postcolonial writer who has thrown significant light on the ways of life of the dwindling Parsi community.
